Sherley Yanna Bootsma

Sherley Yanna Bootsma, 57, passed away Sept. 12, 2016. Sherley was a kind and generous soul who was always smiling and was of strong Christian faith. She loved her many nieces and nephews. Sherley enjoyed travelling to many places and was known for sending photos of herself with her toes in the sand. She volunteered at Bridgepoint Church in St. Pete and previously at Service International St. Louis Family Church prior to moving to Florida. Sherley is preceded in death by her loving parents, Pieter and Lucia, as well as her brother Jerry. Sherley is survived by her sister Carla (John) Schoenmaker and their children Jason (April), Andrew (Windsor) and Melinda (Phil); as well as her great-nieces and nephews, Johnny, Cadence, Colette, Dylan, Michael and Ella Grace; Uncle Joe Kroes and Aunt Yeska (Don) Dibble; and many cousins, great cousins and friends. Memorial contributions may be made out to Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation; Bridgepoint Church, 6690 Crosswinds Dr. N, St. Pete, FL 33710; Faith Christian Family Church, 17350 E Veterans Memorial Pkwy, Wright City, MO 63390; and First Baptist Church, PO BOX 69, South New Berlin, NY 13843. A memorial service will be held 3pm Sat, Sept. 17 at Sylvan Abbey Funeral Home in Clearwater, FL. Memorial services in Warrenton, MO and South New Berlin, NY will be held at a later date.
