

Sol Pitchon was born in Thessaloniki (Salonika), Greece in 1946 to Holocaust survivors Simon and Garmaine Pitchon. They immigrated to the United States in 1951, living in Ohio for a time before settling in Clearwater, Florida.
He graduated from Clearwater High School in 1964. After being drafted, he served in the U.S. Army. Sol accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior in 1981. He earned a BA in Psychology from the University of South Florida, and a Masters Degree in Counseling from Liberty University.
Sol worked for Allstate Insurance, before beginning his career as a Christian Counselor in a private Christian practice. For 23 years, Sol was a faithful servant leader in his true calling in the Pro-life mission field. He served as CEO for New Life Solutions (formally known as The Pregnancy Center of Pinellas County) for 23 years. Under his leadership, it became one of the nation’s most impactful life-affirming ministries. He was a sought after speaker and mentor who promoted a culture of life at ministries across the United States and Puerto Rico, raising funds and raising awareness to help save babies and save souls.
Sol served throughout the community on the Board of Directors for Countryside Christian Church for 22 years, Faith Action Ministry Alliance, Love The Nations, and Christian Chamber of Commerce – Tampa Bay and he received numerous leadership awards.
Sol is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Terri, their blended family that includes Daughters Dina Lederer (Tommie), Kelly Yates (Michael), Son Stuart Krause (Melinda), Stepdaughter Michelle Vaporis (Mark) and Stepson Chris Maconi (Courtney). Grandchildren: Jeffrey (33), Andrew (24), Nickolas (23), Amy (20), Makayla (18), Reagan (18), Coleman (17), Luke (17), Nathan (17), John (16), Jacob (14), Ava (13), Ella (13). Great Grandchildren: Kara (8) and Barrett (5). Sol is survived by brothers Victor (Linda), Leon (Gail) and Max.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Countryside Christian Church on Saturday, February 12, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. Sol’s service will be shown LiveStream on Countryside Christian Church’s Facebook Page for those that cannot attend in person.
