Stanley Robert Weston Jr.

Weston, S. Robert “Bob”, 95, Palm Harbor, FL, passed away on Monday, January 12th, 2015 at Mease Countryside Hospital in Safety Harbor. He was born in Cedarhurst, NY, eventually growing up to join the Army becoming Captain during service in WWII. He and his beloved late wife, Verna and their family went on to reside in Valley Stream, NY, where he retired as Sr. Vice President of Joseph J. Blake and Associates Real Estate Appraisal Firm. While in Valley Stream, he was active in the Grace Methodist Church and served on the Finance Committee and Board of Trustees. Locally, he was a member of Heritage United Methodist Church. He served on several committees of the Highland Lakes Homeowners Association and held officer ship in several local clubs. Spare time allowed for golf, traveling, and he also took up playing the organ. Bob was predeceased by his wife, Verna and a grandson, Nicholas. Survivors include one son, Robert and his wife Pam, two daughters, Nancy W. Verity, and Lauren Sweenie and her husband David. He also has five grandsons, Austin, Wayne, Glenn, and Clinton Verity and Christopher Weston; seven great-grandsons and one great-granddaughter. A public gathering will take place at Sylvan Abbey Funeral Home on Friday, January 16th from 1:00-3:00pm with a graveside service to follow at 3:00. Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, January 17th at 10:00 am in the Chapel of St. Mark’s Village, Palm Harbor, FL.
