

Annas, Steve J. Born in Pontiac, MI on August 15, 1930. Loving husband of Kathleen. Loving Father of Dianna, James (Denise) and William. Beloved grandfather of Myles, Steven and Kathryn. Predeceased by his parents Eugenia and James Annas and brother George. Survived by his sisters Xenia Patten (James), Bessie Psihas (George), Georgia Annas, Chrisanthy Volis (George), and Victoria Staron (Jack) and many loving nieces and nephews. Growing up in Pontiac he was active in the community and was very proud of attaining the rank of Eagle Scout and All State in basketball. He also entertained the family playing the violin and clarinet. As a youth he was an active member of St. George Greek Orthodox Church and was very proud of his Greek heritage. While a student of Pontiac High School he was president of the Student Council, All state basketball and president of his senior class. He graduated from Pontiac High school in 1948 and then attended U of M. During his sophomore year, he enlisted in the US Air Force for four years, stationed in San Antonio, TX and Okinawa. Upon his return, he completed his studies at U of M graduating with a BA in 1954, and MBA in 1957. He initially began his career as a CPA, but ultimately became recognized for his entrepreneurial skills. He married Kathleen Fouriezos in 1957. Moved to Detroit and then East Lansing, MI. where he joined Alco Construction and Management Company. He enjoyed years at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church. He retired to Florida in 1984, but his heart was always in Michigan with his many friends. The family will receive visitation Wednesday April 13 at Sylvan Abby Funeral home in Clearwater Florida, from 5 pm to 8 pm, Trisagion at 7 pm. The funeral will be at Holy Ascension Church, Clearwater Florida on Thursday April 14 at 11 am In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to Suncoast Hospice of Clearwater or Holy Ascension Church.
