Martin, Tamsen (Tammy) Jane, 60, of Palm Harbor, passed away March 10, 2018 at Suncoast Hospice Care Center North Pinellas, surrounded by her family. Born in Newmarket, England, she lived in Pinellas County since the age of six, graduating from Seminole High School and Eckerd College.
Tammy is survived by her mother, Christine Zogorean; siblings, Lise Buck (Howard), Zena Martin (Rick Klein), Nikki Ubaldini (Gary); aunt, Linda Blanton (Jim); and two nieces, Brittany Ubaldini Simon and Ashley Ubaldini.
Tammy was a Vice President at Aon-Hewitt Benefits Consulting where she had been employed for 20 years. Tammy was also a past President and Vice President for the League of Women Voters, North Pinellas County.
Tammy was the first dual transplant patient (heart and kidney) in 1992 at Tampa General Hospital. She had a busy and successful life in spite of her medical problems which also included Lupus since the age of 15.
Tammy loved traveling not only to Europe several times, but also to Australia, Japan, and the Caribbean. She also had a love of cruising.
After 25 years, Tammy’s kidney began to fail leading to other medical problems which eventually led to her passing.
Thanks to Organ Donation, we had Tammy and extra 25 and a half years for which we are extremely grateful.

A Funeral Mass will be held 1pm Saturday, March 17, at St. Ignatius Catholic Church, 715 E Orange St, Tarpon Springs, FL 34689. Interment will immediately follow in Sylvan Abbey Memorial Park, after which guests are invited to a Gathering at Sylvan Abbey Funeral Home, 2853 Sunset Point Rd, Clearwater, FL 33759. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Tammy’s name to Metropolitan Ministries Tampa to which she was an avid donor.
