

Victor Ciaccia, age 76, of Dunedin, Florida passed away on Friday, March 22, 2024. Victor was born on May 15, 1947 in Rochester, NY to James Ciaccia and Philomena Campana Ciaccia. Both precede him in death. Victor is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Judy M Ciaccia, his son, Victor Ciaccia, daughter, Lynae M (James P) Graham, granddaughter Gianna M Graham, brothers, James (Mary-Jo) Ciaccia, Tommy (June) Ciaccia, and Paul Ciaccia and sisters, Lucia (David) McEntee, Mary (Harvey) Hutchins, Susan (Tony) Coco and nieces & nephews
Victor, in his youth, was a skilled athlete, specifically in wrestling. He was a varsity wrestler at Temple University from 1969-1970. He was a Regional III champion in 1967 and athlete of the year in 1968 while attending Fulton Montgomery. Victor holds the record for the fastest pin in the regional tournament at 17 seconds. For all his skill and talent for wrestling, Victor also won entry into the William Wright Hall of Fame in May 1976. He was chosen to try out for the USA wrestling team during the Olympic trials.
Victor received his Master's degree in education, psychology, and counseling. He retired in 2022 from the Pinellas County School District as an educator and behavior specialist. He was an entrepreneur, a man of several hats, and inspired many people throughout his life. Victor embraced his Italian heritage and culture. He loved traveling to Italy, especially his favorite town Celano it will always have a special place in his heart. He was a sports car enthusiast, especially the Corvette, and loved to surprise his wife with a different car in the driveway without her advanced knowledge. He loved to tell stories about Vincenzo, his made-up character to his children when they were young and carried these traditional stories to his granddaughter Gianna witch she eagerly cherished and adored. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He was at his happiest when spending time with his family. Those he leaves behind love him and miss him dearly.
A funeral service for Victor will be held Friday, April 5, 2024, from 5:30 PM to 6:00 PM at Sylvan Abbey Memorial Park and Funeral Home (2853 Sunset Point Rd, Clearwater, FL 33759) with a visitation and celebration of Victor's life to follow from 6-8 pm.
