William J. Boll Jr.

William (Bill) J. Boll Jr, 93, of Clearwater died Tuesday, May 19, 2026 at home.

He was born in Chicago, IL and moved to Clearwater in 1982 from Mt. Prospect, IL.

Bill enjoyed being an Eagle Scout as a teenager. He served in the Army (1954-1956) assigned to the Korea Assistance Command in Seoul, Korea. His 40-year computer career included systems engineering, sales and management consulting. He retired in 1995 from GTE Data Services in Temple Terrace, FL. Bill was a member of the Anona United Methodist Church, where he was active in the music program, singing in two choruses and a Barbershop quartet. He enjoyed music, golf, and fishing. Bill was a member of the Barbershop Harmony Society (formally SPEBSQSA, Inc) for over 66 years. He sang in several Barbershop choruses and quartets in Illinois, New Jersey and Florida. He held various jobs in the Barbershop Harmony Society, sunshine District, and Illinois and Florida chapters.

Bill was preceded in death by his wife of 46 years, Estalee (Kitty) Joy Boll.

He is survived by a son, William J. Boll, III (Suzanne) of Lake Zurich, IL, two daughters, Deborah Wheeler (Brian) of Alpharetta, GA, Stefanie Campbell (Frank) of Spring Hill, FL, five grandchildren Brian (Vanessa), Amanda, Stefanie (Brad), Anthony (Madi), and Caitlin, and four great grandchildren (Olivia, August, Jack and Kaiden.)

Visitation will be held at Sylvan Abbey Funeral Home, 2853 SUNSET POINT RD, CLEARWATER, FL 33759, US, on May 24, 2026, from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm.

A Funeral Service will take place at Sylvan Abbey Funeral Home, 2853 SUNSET POINT RD, CLEARWATER, FL 33759, US, on May 24, 2026, from 1:30 pm to 2:00 pm.

A Reception will follow at Sylvan Abbey Funeral Home, 2853 SUNSET POINT RD, CLEARWATER, FL 33759, US, on May 24, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm.
