

Dorothy was born in Forsyth County, on April 24, 1938, a daughter to the late James Abernathy Blackburn and Lillie Culler Blackburn. She was of the Baptist faith. Dorothy was a dedicated and loving homemaker; she loved her family and spending time with them. She was a loving mother, sister, grandmother and great grandmother.
She is survived by her three children, Robin Yokley and husband, Mike of Winston-Salem, Steve Holt and wife Melody of Jacksonville, FL, and Telia Johnston and husband, Ken of Tobaccoville; a sister, Viola Westmoreland of Rural Hall; grandchildren, Michelle See and husband, Mitch of East Bend, Misty Cummings and husband, Bill of King, Brandi Johnston of Raleigh, K.C. Johnston of Tobaccoville, Alex Holt, Lee Holt, and Derrick Holt all of Jacksonville, FL; great granddaughter, Chloe Holt and the love of her life great grandson, Wade.
A funeral service will be held Thursday, July 10th at 1PM in the Chapel of Frank Vogler and Sons Funeral Home, Reynolda Chapel with Pastor Mitch See and Preacher K.C. Johnston officiating. Burial will follow at Crestview Memorial Park in Rural Hall. The family will receive friends Thursday, from 11:30 until 1 PM prior to the service and other times at Mrs. Holt’s home.
