Mrs. Evelyn Hege Ivester

Mrs. Evelyn Hege Ivester, 86, wife of Douglas Ray Ivester, passed away on March 9, 2010 at the Oaks at Forsyth. She was born January 31, 1924 in Winston-Salem to the late E. Pliny and Bertie Lowry Hege.

Mrs. Ivester was a member of Fairview Moravian Church.

She is survived by her husband of sixty seven years Douglas Ray Ivester; four sons Douglas R. Ivester and wife Barbara, David Lee Ivester and wife Debbie, Mark Ivester and wife Deanna, Michael Ivester; sisters Mary Binkley of Winston-Salem and Elizabeth McDaniel of Banner Elk; brother Curt Hege of Winston-Salem; twelve grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and two step sisters.

A Graveside Funeral Service Celebrating her life, will be conducted on Friday (3/12), 11:00 a.m. at the God's Acre Moravian Cemetery, Winston Salem, with Rev. Robert Peek and Rev. Norwood Green officiating.
