Geraldine Labeur Simmons

She was born July 7, 1917 in Puerto Rico.

She is preceded in death by her husband Judson Simmons, sisters, Nellie Schafsma and Annie Taylor, and brothers, Cornelius and David Labeur.

Surviving are her children, Scott (Pat) Chadwick of Marietta, GA, Betsy (Mike) Boggs of Tobaccoville, Ginger (Gary) Lee of Clemmons, and David (Bea) Chadwick of Murrieta, CA; numerous grand, great, and great-great grandchildren.

In addition to raising her four children, several grand and great grandchildren, she fulfilled a lifelong ambition with the support of her husband and earned her LPN degree, then began a long and rewarding career at North Carolina Baptist Hospital until her retirement.

A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. August 20, 2013 at Ardmore Baptist Church. The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the church lobby.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Ardmore Baptist Church or Community Home Care and Hospice of Statesville, NC.
