I first met Jullian midway into 4th grade when I transferred to Brighten, leaving all of my friends behind. She was the only person to talk to me, and loved me for who I was. If I had never met her, I'd still be the bossy, horrible person I was back when I met her. I don't even understand why she liked me as much as she did back then, but I'm glad she stuck with me until the bitter end. I just wish I would have realized what was happening sooner. She is forever my best friend, and I will never forget her. My iPod keeps turning on to the last conversation I had with her, and maybe it's her trying to contact me. I don't know, but I do believe she is still watching over us all. This whole thing is still far too surreal for me, I can't believe it. I don't want to believe it. I wish I had accepted every single one of those hugs, which I tended to shy away from.

I love you Jullian Amber Lawson.

10 years ago, I met a little, blonde headed girl. She was running around chasing the boys and loving and hugging everyone in sight.  She would hug my leg because she couldn't reach my waist.  I never knew, for the next 10 years, I would be receiving that same hug, only a little higher and a little stronger each year.  Our last hug, will never be forgotten the last day of school.  The hug was so very tight as if we didn't let go. She said as tears came to our eyes “Mrs. Sorg, I can't believe it time we all go our separate ways.”  Tina, I am sending you and your entire family a never ending hug. My first hug from Jullian was in 2005 at Brighten Academy. I knew every time I saw her (no matter how sweaty I was from teaching PE), I was getting a hug. It wasn't just any hug, it was a "drop everything because you are important to me hug". I wish more people gave those!!! She was a beautiful girl with an infectious smile and laugh.
