He was born December 14, 1942 in Concord, NC a son of Charles and Mary Alice Clark Cruse. He married Martha Everhart on February 14, 1977.
Surviving are his wife, Martha Cruse of Winston-Salem; four children, Mary Scott Swyers of Chatham, VA, Leeanne Testerman of Fishersville, VA, Kevin (Stephen) Garrepy of Kennesaw, GA, Robert Cruse of Winston-Salem; one favorite niece, Alice Swann of Charlotte; and six grandchildren, Suzy, Elizabeth, Gigi, Isaac, Celie, and Anthony.
He is preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Sue Swann.
Mr. Cruse was a U.S. Army National Guard veteran.
He worked as a Flooring Supervisor for ReSource NC until his retirement.
A private family service will be at a later date. Frank Volger and Sons Clemmons Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
