
Mrs. Crews was born on June 26, 1931 to Stokes and Elvina Harkey and was a lifelong resident of Forsyth County. She graduated from Mineral Springs High School and was part-time employed by Paragon Food Center for over 30 years.
Mrs. Crews was married on July 23, 1949 to William Glenn Crews and they lived in marriage for 57 years prior to Mr. Crews' death in March 2008.
Surviving are her loving and devoted sister, Carol Jean Powell of East Bend. She was also very proud of her surviving four children; Beverly Crews (Mooresville), Becky (Ken) Whitaker (Kernersville), David (Betta) Crews (Raleigh), and Mike (Melinda) Crews (Raleigh); and her nine grandchildren.
Services will be held on Friday, April 4, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Forsyth Memorial Park mausoleum chapel on Yadkinville Highway in Winston-Salem, NC. The Reverend Saywood Fletcher will officiate. Family will receive friends following service.
