Maude White

Mrs. Maude Brown White, Age 101, of Winston Salem, NC passed away on October 12th in Caldwell County, very close to where she was born and raised. Even though she moved away at an early age, she always spoke with great affection of this part of North Carolina. Maude was born on August 14, 1921 to William Richard Brown and Nellie Reid Brown, the fourth of seven children born and raised in rural Caldwell County. In her late teens she moved to Winston Salem where she met and married Ernest White, her husband of 50 years. Maude was preceded in death by her husband Ernest F. White and and her daughter Nancy White Redd. She is survived by her son Harold White(Angela) of Lenoir, NC, grandsons Jason Redd of Winston Salem, NC and Jeremy Redd(Jennifer) of Wilmington, NC, 4 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces & nephews.

Maude was known by all as a very strong-willed, independent and determined woman that loved to laugh, was blessed with a quick-wit and a deep and compassionate love for her friends and family.

Funeral service will be held Thursday, October 20 at 2 PM in the chapel of Frank Vogler & Sons Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Westlawn Gardens of Memory.
