

Ralph Ernest Dangerfield , 86, of Winston Salem, NC, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, April 24, 2015. Ralph was born on April 2, 1929 in Roanoke, VA, and moved to Winston Salem, NC, in the mid 1960’s. Ralph retired from Lucent in Burlington, NC, in 1988. He was an avid golfer and spend many days on the green. Ralph was in the Marines and fought in the Korean War where he was wounded and later received the Purple Heart Medal. He is preceded in death by his wife, Nanette Nelson Dangerfield; parents, Wilber and Jessie May Dangerfield; sisters, Sandra Greig and Maxine Campbell. He is survived by his two sons, Wallace and Michael Dangerfield; sister, Kathryn Thomas; brother, Wally Dangerfield and several nieces and nephews. He also left behind his beloved dog Maggie. The family will receive friends on Monday, April 27, 2015 from 1:00 pm until service time at 2:00 pm at Frank Vogler and Sons on Reynolda Road.
