

Becki had degrees in Nursing from the University of North Carolina Greensboro and Anthropology from the University of South Carolina as well as Master level studies in Geography and City Planning. She worked in both the Wake Forest Baptist Hospital and Novant Health medical groups as well as Gentiva Medical Services. Her professional life was in service to providing for her family, but her real passion was that of mother, wife, and home maker. She loved sewing cooking, decorating and all things connected to making the home a warm and welcoming place. She was a member of Winston-Salem Friends Meeting but also attended services at Messiah Moravian Church, both of which she had a deep abiding love. Over the years, she and her husband contributed to many causes that they felt strongly about.
Preceding her in death were her grandparents John Mervin Herr Sr. and Belva Byrd Herr of Charlottesville Va., Eugene R. Highfield of Martinsville Va., Estelle Adelbert Scott Highfield of Gainesville Fl., parents John Mervin Herr Jr. of Columbia SC, and Annie Sue (Herr) Kirmse of Gainesville Fl. Surviving family are her husband John Elliotte Fallen of Winston-Salem NC., sons Justin Herr Reich of Atlanta Ga., Mason Scott Reich of NYC, NY., John Erik Fallen of Winston-Salem NC., and stepdaughter Kerrie Alexandra Fallen of Richmond. Sister Rachel Lynn Herr Leach and her husband Mike and son Noah of Lighthouse Pt. Fl., and sister-in-law Margaret Anne Fallen of Richmond Va. Stepmother Lucrecia Herr and stepbrother Brent Wahl and his family both of Philadelphia Pa. Dear friends Lauren Keys, Sharon Viverette, Angie Drews, Pam Milton, Olivia Venable, Amber Atkins, Sam Kizer and many other friends and family around the country.
Becki and John would like to recognize and thank those who at Wake Forest Baptist Hospital provided loving care in her fight against cancer. Stefan Grant and his group, Dr. Jennifer Davis of Palliative Care and Christina Cramer of Radiation Oncology.
