In the early morning hours of Wednesday, December 26th 2018, Rocky L. Schuyler passed away. He had been battling cancer for almost a year. God answered out prayers to give him relief from his suffering, and He called him HOME.
Rocky was born on January 8th, 1958 in Winston-Salem and was the youngest of 5 children. He had many, many friends who dearly loved him, and he loved them. Rocky loved fishing, hunting, trapping, scuba diving, and sailing. He was an electrician and excellent mechanic. But his real love was music. He had a natural talent to sing and play many instruments, and was a member of several great bands throughout his life.
He was preceded in death by his father, R. Lloyd Schuyler, his mother Elva Schuyler Griffin, two brothers, Richard “Dickie” Schuyler, and Joe Schuyler. Rocky is survived by two sisters, Jacquie S. Doby of Charlotte, NC and Skokie Roberts of Galax, VA, and lots of nieces, nephews, and a large extended family.
Rocky will be truly missed!
