May God keep all of you in perfect peace. I truly appreciated all the assistance he gave me whenever I came into the branch. It hurts my heart to know he is gone...but I know he is in the presence of our Lord, smiling with that big hearty laugh. Thank you God for given the world a caring man as Ron. He will truly be missed, but certainly not forgotten.

I've know Ron George for about 15 years as a client and a friend. He always made me laugh with his good natured personality. I valued him and Cindy as friends.  Ron will certainly be missed by all whose lives he touched.

I was stunned to hear that Ron had died.  I played softball with him for several years and he was one of the most likeable, fun guys I have ever know.  And man-oh-man, could he ever hit a softball!  His smile lit up a room.  My thoughts and prayers are with Cindy and the George family.  I will sign off with the nickname Ron gave me when we played softball together so many years ago.

I remember when I interviewed at Allegacy in 2001, Ron was a "sit in" on the interview. I remember him making me feel so comfortable and talked to me like a friend he had known forever.  After working in a support area, Ron would call for assistance and would always end the call with "i appreciate you".  What a pleasure he was to work with.  My husband works for the Gas Co and met him when the addons were done to the patterson branch.  He came home and said, "i met the nicest most down to earth man today".  That's just how he was and that is how i will remember him.  As a kindhearted, friendly, pleasure to be around kind of person.  My thoughts and prayers are with his family as you grieve the loss of this wonderful person.

On behalf of the George family, I sincerely thank each and every one of you for your kind thoughts and words.  Ron was truly an inspiration, a guide, a teacher, a friend, a father, a brother, a man much beloved.  For myself, the sun is not quite as bright as it was before April 30, 2010.  My love, my heart, my best friend, my soul mate lives now only in my memories, but I am comforted by the knowledge that he also lives with our Lord.  God bless you all and thank you so much for these tributes.  They have truly touched my heart.

I too was shocked and saddened to learn of Ron's passing. The smile in the picture posted here is just the way I remember him from Carolina; open, loving and ready to be a friend to everyone.  Though we had been out of touch for some time, I miss him.  God's blessings and strength to the George family.

We have not seen each other since our days at UNC-CH (swimming classes, etc.). Ron was like a big brother to the members of the classes that came to Carolina after him. I still remember his deep captivating voice and that Safari hat. My sincere condolences to you and the family.

I last saw him at Jimmy the Greek restaurant, having lunch and he told me he was doing great and that he would be returning to work.  I always kept inquiring as to how he was doing, whenever I went to the credit union doing his illness.  Before, his illness, whenever, I went to Allegacy to do any business, I would always stop to talk to Ron, and if he was busy, he would take the time out to converse with me.  He talk so much about his family, I feel like I know you all.  He was a great and wonderful man and a great FRIEND.  I will truly miss him. I was surprised and saddened to see Ron had passed away in the paper.  I worked with Ron at Allegacy years ago. It has been years since I have seen him, but seeing his picture again definately made me smile.  He was a wonderful man, coworker and greatly loved his family and friends. The first time I met Ron, it was as if we had already been friends. He was awesome. You can talk to Ron about anything. It was a lot of fun going out to eat with him and Cindy, and Clay. Ron was the best boss I ever worked for. I have known him for 7 years, and I am truly blessed to have had him in my life. We will really miss him at work. He always watched over us, and told us we would make it work. We truly loved and respected him as a person and boss. He will always be in our hearts.

Sometimes in life we are given the opportunity to meet someone who really makes a difference in our lives and who we grow to become. Someone who effects us in such a way that it makes us a better person than we would have been without knowing them.
 Ron you were that person to me. You took care of me not just as an employee but as a friend, a daughter. You always knew what I needed so that I would find the right way in life- even if that meant a swift kick. We laughed, had fun and got alot of work done too. You helped me to grow, you gave a lost and wreckless girl direction, the right direction.
 You always knew when to be soft or when you needed to be tough. We had hard times, sad times, and a lot of happy times.
 I have always wished for a father and if God would have given me a choice I would have picked you.I will miss you so much. I will always think of you and the happy times and forever carry you in my heart. I love you Ron.See you on the other side.
