Rosa Lee Chamberlain, age 86, went home to be with the Lord on April 12, 2026. She was born on February 19, 1940, in Yadkin County, North Carolina, to the late Alpha S. and Allen T. Chamberlain. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Leslie Chamberlain.
She is survived by her children: Sherry Eaton of Mocksville; Lain Reavis (Kym) of Fort Mill, SC; and Beth Hughes (Jason) of Winston-Salem; five grandchildren: Haley Reavis, Turner Reavis, Bryce Spence, Alex Hughes, and Hannah Hughes; one great-grandson, Sage Spence; her brother, Lenuel Chamberlain; sister, Elizabeth Misenheimer (Chuck); and sister-in-law, Ann Chamberlain.
After growing up on a farm in Yadkinville, Rosa Lee traveled the world as a flight attendant for National Airlines, a role that suited her adventurous spirit. Through her work, she was able to meet countless people and collect autographs from the celebrities she encountered—oh, the stories she could tell. Her free-spirited nature was just one of many reasons she was loved by her children and all who met her.
Rosa Lee was fascinated by the study of vitamins and nutrition, which led her to own a GNC franchise. As an advocate and owner, she loved to inform and educate customers and anyone who wanted to learn more. To complement that knowledge, she exercised avidly, even working with a personal trainer until the age of 85.
From her days on the farm, she also developed a green thumb. No matter what life threw at her, she found peace in gardening—tending to her plants seemed to restore something in her. Watching things grow reminded her that even after hard seasons, life finds a way to bloom again.
A celebration of life service to honor Rosa Lee Chamberlain’s life will be held on Sunday, May 3, 2026, at 2:00 pm at Frank Vogler and Sons in Clemmons. The family will receive friends following the service with a light reception at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Cancer Services Inc., 3175 Maplewood Avenue, Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
