To know our Daddy was to be entertained by him. Never caught without a one-liner or witty come back, he always managed to keep a smile on the face of anyone around him. Even as his health declined in recent years, he never lost his wit and always found the humor in any situation. He recently proclaimed “I would have to get better to die around here”.
You will be sorely missed by all of us who were fortunate enough to know and love you. You have provided us all with enough stories and memories to last a lifetime. Thank you for teaching us the value of hard work, the importance of family and for helping us understand that common sense cannot be taught. We have and will continue to use the values everyday. We will miss you daddy.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, Feb 18th, 2014, at 11:30 am at Vogler & Sons Funeral Home, 2951 Reynolda Rd., Winston-Salem with the Rev. Bobby Roberson officiating. The family will receive friends on Monday, Feb 17th, 2014, from 5:30-7:30 at the same location. Interment will follow the funeral service at Forsyth Memorial Park.
