Vada Virginia Carlyle

Vada Virginia Carlyle, 91, of Kernersville passed away Sunday, May 15, 2011,at Kernersville Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. She was born July 16, 1917 in Surry County, NC to the late Lafayette “Fate” and Sally (Atkins) O’Neal.

Mrs. Carlyle was a member of Gospel Light Baptist Church in Walkertown.

She was preceded in death by a son Ronnie Joe Carlyle; brothers John and Curly O’Neal; sisters Ruby Foster and Eva Fulk.

Surviving family includes daughter Sandra Linville (Charlie); special daughter in law Bertha Carlyle; sons Ricky Carlyle, Dennis Carlyle (Gwynn), and Steven “Chick” Carlyle, all of Kernersville; six grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; one great great granddaughter Taylyn Whitney; brother Bobby O’Neal (Ann); sister in law Evelyn O’Neal; and several nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Service, celebrating the life of Vada Virginia Carlyle will be conducted on Tuesday, May 17, 2011, 2:00 PM at the Vogler Funeral Home, Reynolda Chapel, a Dignity Memorial Provider, 2951 Reynolda Road, Winston-Salem (336-722-6106) with burial to follow at Eastlawn Gardens of Memory, 530 Dobson Street, Kernersville, NC 27284 (336-993-3119). Family and friends will gather on Tuesday from 1:00 PM until service time at the Vogler Funeral Home.
