Dr. Alan Shelby Rosenbaum passed away on Friday, March 6, 2025. He was born on August 27, 1941.
Dr. Rosenbaum was a respected professor of philosophy at Cleveland State University and the author of numerous works in his field. He was also a distinguished and devoted member of the Jewish community, known for his scholarship, kindness, and commitment to education.
He is survived by his loving children, Emily Rosenbaum Dennis (Marc), Libby Rosenbaum, and Jascha Rosenbaum. He was a proud grandfather to Rebecca, Sophia, and Julian Dennis, and Carsyn Rosenbaum.
Dr. Rosenbaum was preceded in death by his parents; his beloved wife, Pamela Rosenbaum; and his sisters, Joan Labelle and Beverly Rosenbaum.
A graveside service will be held on Sunday, March 8, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Zion Memorial Cemetery in Bedford Heights, Ohio.
