Alfred (Al) Leighton died October 29 , age 91. Al emigrated from his native Germany in 1939 as part of a Kindertransport of Jewish children to the UK. In 1950 he emigrated to Australia, and 15 years ago he moved to Cleveland to join his wife's family. He will be deeply missed by his beloved wife Hedda of nearly 40 years. Survived by his son Peter(Pam), daughter Linda, all in Australia, and niece Deborah in Toronto. Devoted stepfather of Dr. Richard (Patricia) Martin, grandfather of Dr. Scott (Molly) Martin and Dr. Sonya (Peter Graif) Martin and great grandfather of William and Mateo. Private family services were held. Family will receive friends at the residence 5200 Three Village Dr. #3K, Lyndhurst,OH SATURDAY NOVEMBER 3rd FROM 3-5 PM.
