I will miss Barry as we talked often after he left clothestime stores. He was a wonderful man and I enjoyed his friendship. My condolences to all.

Barry was a one of a kind he had a heart of gold and was and so much a part and made me the man I am. I am so grateful for the opportunity for you to be in my life. I will miss you my my friend,  you were my brother in life. Much love the world is a better place because you were on it. I love you B.

He was a Cedarbrook Boy. Me: Tullamore Girl. I can't remember a time in my childhood/teen years without Barry weaving in and out of my sightline. Running. On a bike. Motorcycle. On his hands walking down the block. Doing a flag on our tether ball pole at age 11. Amazing us with his Incredible strength. He was joyous. So out there. Loving and friendly.

He was born with three kidneys. I recall him saving his sister's life by donating one of them. He was so proud of that. Again. We were amazed. I loved watching him wrestle in HS. He was our own Superman. Such determination and pride.

He weathered joys and sorrows. He loved deeply. He won championships and turned his passion into business. And mourned the tragic loss of his friend and mentor, David.

When we saw each other at our 20th reunion we were so excited. He ran to me and picked me up in the air. He didn't know I was pregnant when he almost squeezed the baby right out of me!!!

What a life, Barry!

He followed his bliss..and he encouraged and mentored others in his field. Even during his hard times he was always supportive of others.

I will miss knowing Barry is here. His boundless energy swirling in the ether.

May his memory be a blessing to all who knew and loved him.

No more pain I'm going miss you my friend

So sorry to hear of Barry's passing. I knew Barry since Taylor Road Elementary School, and was in touch with him off and on. I had no idea he was living so close to me in San Diego, CA. I extend condolences to his family during this difficult time.

Barry had a beautiful spirit and a loving soul. I am saddened by his death. We saw each other regularly as he was my trainer for many years. The world is a lesser place without him in it. May Barry’s memory be for a blessing, and May we all take comfort and solace from our living memories of him. 

I knew Barry through my high school years. I had the honor to reconnect with him through Facebook. He was a very down to earth person with a passion for weight lifting. He expressed compassion for others to attain healthy goals through what he enjoyed best. He also mentioned to me exceptional love for his family members. He will be greatly missed by many. Barry was a very good friend of mine in high school... Thru all his tough exterior he was the kindest man!! A very determined individual to be the best he could be... even in times  of adversity
