IN THE CARE OF

Berkowitz-Kumin-Bookatz Memorial Chapel

Barry Levett, 82, of Hunting Valley, Ohio, passed away peacefully on September 11, 2025. Born on December 3, 1942, in New Haven, Connecticut, to Evelyn and Arthur Levett, Barry lived a life centered on family, kindness and genuine connection with others.

Barry's greatest joy came from his family. He was a loving husband to his beloved wife, Susie (Lasman) with whom he shared 45 wonderful years of marriage. He was a loving father to his daughter Jen and son-in-law Jordan, and absolutely adored his granddaughters, Avery and Taylor. Barry was predeceased by his late son Todd whom Barry cherished deeply. He was a special friend to many and a loving son-in-law to Paula and Karl Lasman (both deceased).

Barry built a career as a successful businessman.

For 35 years, he owned House of Lights in Cleveland, Ohio, establishing himself as a respected figure in the lighting industry. His leadership extended beyond his business when he served as president of the American Lighting Association. Barry also dedicated his time to meaningful causes, serving on the board of the Juvenile Diabetes Association.

Known for his generous spirit and welcoming smile, Barry had a special gift for connecting with people. He loved tending to his garden and was a passionate Cleveland Cavaliers fan. Throughout his life, Barry faced his health challenges with remarkable dignity and grace.
