
GALE Bernice Berman Gale, died on March 29, 2016 in Cleveland, OH. Bernice was born in San Francisco on September 24, 1926. At the age of five her mother passed away and her father moved her to New York City to live with her aunt Shirley Silver. At the age of 13 she moved to Cleveland, Ohio. Bernice graduated from Cleveland Heights High School and shortly after, married her husband of 71 years Sanford Gale. They moved to many locations as Sanford was in the Army-Air Corps. After the war, came back to Cleveland and raised their family. Bernice was active in her Temple, participated in Temple productions, played golf and tennis and loved dancing with her husband. They had won many dance contests together and participated in dance exhibitions. Bernice is survived by her husband Sanford Gales, Loving mother of Dr. David Gale and the late Cynthia Gale Roller. Cherished mother in law of Carol Gale and Ken Roller. Devoted grandmother of Jennifer (Russ) Dise, Lyndsey Roller, Scott Gale, AJ (Elizabeth) Roller, Gabriella Giulla and great grandmother of Stella and Hugo Roller. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, March 30 at 12 Noon at the Mt. Olive Cemetery. Family will observe Shiva at the Roller residence, 23202 Ranch Rd., Beachwood, OH WEDNESDAY FOLLOWING SERVICES UNTIL 9:30 PM, THURSDAY 3:30 PM_9:30 PM, FRIDAY 12 NOON-2:30 PM, SUNDAY AND MONDAY 3:30 PM-9:30 PM. (Mincha services at 7:30 PM). Friends who wish may contribute to Young Israel of Greater Cleveland, Matan B'Seyer or Bikur Cholim.
