

Born on May 4, 1932, to Harry Cuperblum and Sophie Plaskoff, Burton lived a full and active life defined by dedication to his family, his work, and his community. He proudly served in the United States Coast Guard and later built a successful career as an electrical contractor, founding Curtis Electric. A graduate of Glenville High School, Burton was a lifelong sports enthusiast who passionately supported Cleveland’s teams. He enjoyed playing softball and golf and cherished time spent with friends and loved ones.
Burton was the devoted husband of the late Eunice Selma Curtis, whom he adored. He was a loving father to Gayle Heiser (Daryl) and Sharon Weisman (Lou Horwitz), and a proud grandfather to Callie Heiser (Jeremy Burn), Brandon Weisman, Casey Richman (Joseph), and Brittany Weisman. He was also a treasured great-grandfather to Penelope and Eloise Richman, and a cherished uncle to his niece Holli and nephews Gregg and Jerry. He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Elaine Levine.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his sisters, Rose Davis and Betty Goldstein.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Berkowitz-Kumin-Bookatz Memorial Chapel, followed by interment at Mount Olive Cemetery in Solon, Ohio.
Shiva will be observed at the residence of Sharon and Lou 25861 Annesley Rd. Beachwood, OH 44122 on Wednesday and Thursday from 3:00–8:00 p.m., and Friday from 1:00–3:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Reserve Care Hospice or the Alzheimer’s Association of Cleveland.
Burton will be remembered for his warmth, humor, and deep love for his family. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
