
Donald K. Herman, MD passed away peacefully on July 15, 2017 at Hillcrest Hospital. He is survived by his loving partner of 24 years, Ruth Brant. In addition, he is survived by his daughters Laurel Vogelsang, Dana Adler (Brent), and Allison Herman. He was a loving grandfather to: Bennett, William, and John Vogelsang and Samson, Gabe, and Naomi Adler. He was a dear brother to Joan Nutkin and the late Gerald Herman. Professionally, “Dr.Datsun” was an OB/GYN but his hobbies were varied: race car driver, musician, and avid sports fan. He delivered the first baby born at Hillcrest Hospital when it opened in 1968. He was a regular guest & medical consultant on Channel 5’s Morning Exchange television show. The last lap for #57 was filled with all the things he loved about life. He will be mourned by many people in the Cleveland community. Services at Fairmount Temple Anshe Chesed: Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at 10:30 AM (23737 Fairmount Blvd., Beachwood, OH 44122). Internment at Mount Olive Cemetery immediately thereafter (27855 Aurora Road, Solon, OH 44139). The family will receive friends at Don’s home afterwards until 7PM (2849 Concord Road, Pepper Pike, OH 44124). Shiva will also be at the house on Wednesday, July 19 1 - 3 PM & 7 - 8:30PM.
