Donald J. Levy

Donald Levy, beloved husband of the late Laurel (Kronenberg) and beloved partner of Sharon Preisler; devoted brother of the late Garry (Donna) Levy and James (Ursula) Levy; dear uncle of Todd (Diana) and Tracy (Jason) Sluciak, Daniel, Nicolas and Madelyn Marfurt-Levy; cherished great uncle of Lily, Ella, and Owen Sluciak and Benjamin Levy.

Don was born on July 15, 1947 to Matthew and Ruth (Joseph) Levy. He graduated from Cleveland Heights High School, Ohio University and received a master’s degree in Geography from Cleveland State University. Don married Laurel Kronenberg in the mid 1980’s and enjoyed a wonderful marriage before Laurel passed away in 2015. Don has a long relationship with his partner, Sharon Preisler since 2016. Don will be remembered for his keen memory of family and family events and his encyclopedic knowledge of geography, politics, history and especially music. He laughed easily, was loyal to the extreme and was kind. He was a strong advocate for Israel and was a frequent letter writer to the Cleveland Jewish News. Don maintained a strong and lasting relationships with his brothers, his first cousin Frank Winston, the Kronenberg family, Sharon’s family and his singles club.

Family will receive friends at the home of Helen Braun, 2620 Butternut Lane, Pepper Pike 44124 IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWING INTERMENT TUESDAY UNTIL 5PM.
