Eugene Klein

Eugene Klein, age 83, a Holocaust Survivor beloved husband of Helen (nee Davis). Loving father of Larry (Judy) Klein, Kathy Rubin and Sherry Klein. Devoted grandfather of Jeremy and Jamie Klein, Jennifer, Alissa (Jessica Cohen) and Zachary Rubin. Dear brother of Herman and Adolf Klein. Eugene was born on October 8,1929 in Beregovo, Czechoslovakia, one of nine children. After surviving the Holocaust, two years in multiple concentration camps and the loss of his parents and five brothers and sisters, he came to this country in 1946. He met Helen soon after and they married in 1952. In 1956, Eugene founded the State Drug and Sundries Company and continued there until he sold it in 1976. From there, he owned and managed the Lyndhurst Beverage Company. Prior to retirement, he spent eight years working for the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections. Eugene was a long time member of Green Road Synagogue. He most recently attended weekly services at B'nai Jeshurun Congregatin. Services will be held Wednesday, July 17 at 1 P.M. at the BERKOWITZ-KUMIN-BOOKATZ MEMORIAL CHAPEL 1985 S. Taylor Rd. Cleveland Heights, OH. Interment Zion Memorial Park. Family will observe Shiva at the residence 26200 George Zeiger Dr., Beachwood, OH (Reception Room) WEDNESDAY FOLLOWING SERVICES UNTIL 9 P.M., THURSDAY 2-9 P.M. AND FRIDAY 12-5 P.M.
