

She had 3 sisters and was the youngest of the family.
Eunice earned a scholarship to Camp Ramah in Wisconsin for several years and later instilled the “Camp Ramah gene” in her daughter.
She graduated from South High School in Kansas City and earned a scholarship to the Joint Program with Columbia University and The Jewish Theological Seminary of America.
From there she went to Harvard where she studied education.
Eunice moved to Cleveland Heights in 1970 where she started teaching for Cleveland Public Schools. She taught high school English, where she made her students understand Shakespeare, occasionally use correct grammar, and watch the movie 1776 every year.
Eunice was also an attorney, earning her law degree from Cleveland State University- College of Law. When she moved to RH Myers, she was elected President of the tennants association for 2 years.
She was an avid reader, a love of musicals and classical music.
She is survived by her daughter Elana.
Services will be at Berkowitz, Kumin, Bookatz on Monday, August 25, 2025 at 11am, with burial at Mount Olive Cemetery.
Shiva will be private at the request of the family.
Donations may be made to The National Ramah Commission at The Jewish Theological Seminary.
