Dear Gene,
I have missed you and Jan immensely as part of the Clinic Gastroenterology family [picnics, holiday party, GI update course]. I am so sorry to hear about Jan. My fond memories of you and her warm my heart. I hope each passing day brings you comfort and eases your loss. With heartfelt sympathy,

Jan and Gene accompanied the University of Michigan Symphony Band on an historic trip to the (former) Soviet Union in 1961. The band will be celebrating their 50th anniversary this October, and a Memorial to Jan will be presented at that time.  94 young musician, their conductor and staff members mourn her loss.  She was a fine lady, and a good friend to us all, especially when we were so far from home.  Rest in Peace, Nurse Jan.

I am so sorry to hear about Jan's passing. We have very nice memories of her from Brith Emeth.  Please accept our deepest condolences. Larry and Bea Axelrod

Dr. Winkleman, I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Our thoughts are with you at this time.

None of my thoughts will never express my gratitude for Mrs. Winkelman.  Her children are her legacy and she produced wonderful people.  I know she will be missed by all who knew her.  My thoughts and prayers are will you all.

So sorry to hear of Janet's passing. Despite the difficulties she encountered in recent years with her illness, she always kept her hardy spirit, positive outlook, sense of humor and caring and concerns for all of her family members. Our sympathies to Eugene, Dan, Jennifer, Cary and Julie and all of your related and extended family.
