Joy Weinberger (nee Whitman) beloved wife for 59 years to Jerome Weinberger. Loving mother of Gail (David) Stein, Ellen Horowitz and Neil Weinberger. Devoted grandmother of 13 and great grandmother of 8. Dear sister of the late Dr. Edwin (Bubbles-deceased) Whitman, Dr. Marvin (Nancy) Whitman and Jane Whitman. Cherished aunt and great aunt. Services will be held Thursday, July 30 at 11 AM at the Park Synagogue, 3300 Mayfield Rd., Cleveland Heights, OH. Interment Bet Olam Cemetery. Joy, together with Jerry, has inspired their three children a family tradition of communal involvement. Joy served as a trustee of the Cleveland Institute of Music, Board member of the Palm Beach Opera, the Cleveland Orchestra's Women's Committee and served in leadership role's with Cleveland's United Way and the Jewish Community Federation of Cleveland. Joy, along with her husband were recipient's of the Scopus Award from the American Friends of the Hebrew University.
