After surviving the hardships of World War II, Sidi immigrated to Haifa, Israel, where she lived for 15 years. Despite the many challenges she faced, she built a warm and loving home for her husband and children. In 1966, the family relocated to Cleveland, Ohio, where Sidi continued to demonstrate her resilience and determination.
A self-made woman, Sidi never lost her spirit or zest for life. She faced personal tragedies with courage, including the loss of her beloved husband Arye, and her daughter Leah at age 21.
Throughout her life, she was a social, nurturing, affectionate, and caring presence, especially in raising her grandson during difficult times.
Sidi is survived by her son Mike (Shari) Albert; grandchildren Brian Goldfarb, Lindsay Albert and Brett (Kellen) Albert-Gorman; and great-grandchildren Alex Goldfarb, and Ethan Goldfarb.
Her family and friends will dearly miss her warmth, kindness, and strength. Graveside services will be held on Thursday, February 5th at 1:30 pm at Mt. Olive Cemetery, 27855 Aurora Road, Solon, Ohio.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Jewish Family Service Association of Cleveland (www.jfsa-cleveland.org) in her memory.
Arrangements are under the supervision of Berkowitz Kumin Bookatz Memorial Chapel.
