Lester grew up in Cleveland Heights and graduated from Heights High, continuing his education and graduating from John Carroll University. He enlisted in the U.S. Army and trained as a paratrooper, an experience he looked back upon fondly. Lester started his own telecommunication products company in the 1970's and became a trusted source for service and sales of modern telephone systems in NE Ohio and beyond. He spent his final years living in the Willensky Memory Care Unit, and the family would like to thank the staff for the excellent care of their father.
Lester loved working with young people and always had a corny joke at the ready. He coached Little League Baseball in the Cleveland area and was active in the Boy Scouts of America. Lester loved the outdoors and could frequently be found hiking and camping and was an active member of The Cleveland Hiking Club.
