Lidia was the beloved mother of Irene Zelmanovich (George), cherished grandmother of Diana Asaturyan (Alex) and Sean Zelmanovich (Kaitlin), and adoring great-grandmother to Josh, Abigail, Gabriella, and Jacob Asaturyan, Nora Zelmanovich, and a soon-to-be-born great-granddaughter expected in early July.
Lidia dedicated her career in Odessa as a physical therapist for children with cerebral palsy and other disabilities. She was known as the kindest woman in the world—gentle, endlessly patient, and always positive, even in the most difficult of circumstances. Having endured antisemitism in her homeland, she courageously immigrated to the United States to live freely and proudly as a Jewish woman. She was the unwavering pillar of her family, raising her daughter to be strong, loving, and independent. Nothing brought her more joy than her grandchildren, whom she adored deeply and unconditionally.
A graveside service for Lidia will be held on Sunday, June 15, 2025, at 3:30 PM at Zion Memorial Park, 5461 Northfield Rd, Bedford Heights, Ohio.
She will be forever missed and lovingly remembered.
