The oldest of two children, Lidiya was greatly devoted to her parents and younger brother, Grigoriy (z”l).
Having being brought up among a large extended family, Lidiya, felt right “at home” when she married her life partner, Simon, in 1958 and joined his large meshpochah. They enjoyed a full and wonderful marriage with shared joys and, unfortunately, sorrows, when their oldest son, Alexander (“Sasha”, z”l, had passed away in 1971.
Together with Simon, Lidiya’s focus of existence was their family, children, and grandchildren. She sincerely loved and appreciated her machatunam and their families-her love and kindness knew no boundaries. Lidiya’s nieces and nephews brought her much joy and comfort. She had a very special relationship with each one of them and loved them all and their families dearly.
A great crafter, she was never idle. Reading, knitting, crocheting, or doing embroidery-just few of her hobbies.
Leaving life to the fullest, embracing and enjoying each other, and being kind-were simple principles that Lidiya lived by.
Lidiya is survived by her children, Leo (Elena) and Masha (Terry). As well as her grandchildren, Josh (Helen), Zach, Izzy, Alan, Sammie, and Max.
