

Lynn Rosenberg (nee Groner); dearly beloved wife of Fred Rosenberg; devoted mother of Leigh Rosenberg (Subbu Sastry) and Melissa Bilsky (Jeremy); loving Grammy” of Laila and Campbell Bilsky; dear sister of Anais Watsky (Buddy) and Mark Groner (Cheryl); loving sister-in-law of David Rosenberg (Enid); loving aunt to Laura Creed (Howard), Elizabeth Naggar (Rob), Julie Beynenson (Alex), Michael Groner (Lindsey), Erin McQuade (Joe), and Justin Rosenberg (Jessica); loving great-aunt to many nieces and nephews.
Born on January 14, 1947, in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, Lynn was middle child of Lee and Carolyn Groner. She excelled in school and was a majorette in the Greenville High School Band. She attended Louisiana State University and later graduated from Cleveland State University with a bachelor’s degree in English and Spanish. She met and married Fred Rosenberg, and together they raised their two children, Leigh and Melissa, in a loving Jewish home. Lynn was an intellectual at heart but found joy in creating a warm home with homemade food to share with her extended family. She was a proud descendant of the Gomez family, one of the oldest Jewish families in America, having arrived before the American revolution. Lynn loved to read and was a patron of the arts. She was a proud Grammy and beloved by all who knew her. She will be remembered as a kind human being and wonderful matriarch who led by example
Services will be held at Berkowitz-Kumin-Bookatz Memorial Chapel 1985 S. Taylor Rd., Cleveland Hts., Monday, January 5 at 9:30AM. Interment Mayfield Cemetery.
