Beloved wife of Stanley Keller; devoted mother of Lisa (Cullen) Roth, Neal (Lorrie Schneider) Goldweber and Barry (Sue) Goldweber; cherished step-mother of Kim Keller and Flint (Jenny) Keller; loving grandmother of Derek Bailey Roth, Raven Julia Roth, Jason (Meg) Goldweber, Craig Goldweber and Jarred Goldweber, Kyle Kreuger, Rachel Keller, Quinn Keller, Birdie Keller, Cade Keller and Bray Keller; great-grandmother of Bryce Goldweber.
Marilyn grew up an only child and had wonderful parents, Jay and Betty Lodish. She grew up in Cleveland Hts. and went to Heights High School. She was a good but strict mother to all of her children, playing no favorites. She used a wooden spoon to keep the kids in line and over the years wore one out.
Marilyn worked most of her life until retirement and even dabbled then with odd jobs. She volunteered for many organizations in Cleveland as well. She most loved musicals and volunteered at Cleveland Playhouse Square and then in Florida at a local theater in the Margate area. She also volunteered at the cruise ship docks checking passengers in for many years. She loved the cruise line work and was able to take many cruise vacations at discount prices because of her job.
Marilyn loved to walk and do water aerobics, even though she never learned to swim! She was an avid reader. She most loved when any of her children or grandchildren would visit. She was very involved in all their lives for most of her life until she was no longer able. Marilyn loved when her daughter, Lisa, would have days to spend together, just the two of them, no matter what they would choose to do. She would have some of the grandchildren visit her in Florida on their own (one at a time) once when they were 11 or 12 yrs old. She loved to entertain the grand kids and take them to great touristy places. Marilyn loved to find a good bargain. She could talk on the phone for long periods of time and loved to hear what was going on in everyone's lives.
