

Marjorie Jean Rosenbaum (née Arnold), a loving wife, mother, aunt, cousin and friend, passed away on June 4, 2020. She lived her life richly, laughing often and loving to dance. She played a very special role in the lives of her parents, siblings, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends, always making clear that she valued them as the people they are.
Married for 66 years, the beloved wife of Jacob I. Rosenbaum (deceased); mother of Laura Rosenbaum (Daniel Roebuck), Alexander “Lex” Rosenbaum (Anita Park Rosenbaum), and Judith Bartell Goodman (Steve Goodman, deceased); sister of Betty (Joseph) Marcovy and Donald (Virginia) Arnold (all deceased), sister-in-law of Ernest (Isadora) Rosenbaum (both deceased), Arthur (Rona) Rosenbaum, Lillian Snyder (MaryAlice Morris).Grandmother of Daniel Mortenson (Susan Mortenson), Ari Rosenbaum (Sheena Rosenbaum), James Bartell (Nathalie Tavel Bartell), David Bartell (Brody Lockman), Benjamin Roebuck, Alece Pritchard Pugh (Mathew Pugh) and Christopher Pritchard (Jennifer Potokar).
Great-grandmother of Axel and Finnegan Mortenson; Scott Cassidy; Gabe, Hunter and Hannah Nordstrom; Maddox Pugh; Zoey and Case Pritchard; Beckett and Danleigh Rosenbaum; Gryphon and Scarlett Deitchman; and Aiden Bartell.
Marj was an active volunteer at Temple Emanu El, serving as president and past president of the Sisterhood and co-chaired the Fundraising Committee to build the new Temple in Orange Village. She was an Israel Bond honoree. Marj provided volunteer children services at Mt. Sinai and St. Luke’s Hospitals, was an active volunteer with Cleveland Women’s Orchestra, hosting several of their events and was a long-time volunteer and board member at the Cleveland Sight Center. “Grandma Marj’s Park”, Marjorie Rosenbaum Plaza at Burke Lakefront Airport, is a testament to Marj and Jay’s dedication to Cleveland and their love of the community they served.
In lieu of flowers, contributions are suggested to the Jacob and Marjorie Rosenbaum Adult Education Fund at Temple Emanu El, 4545 Brainard Road, Orange Village, OH 44022. Services and visitation will be completely virtual.
