Condolences to the Doris (&Mars Electric) families on your loss. 
I have had the pleasure of being an employee, a customer, and currently a vendor for Mars Electric over 30+ years.  In all that time, Mark Doris stands out as one of the finest gentlemen I encountered. He was honest, fair, empathetic, and extremely intelligent.  I cherish the times working for and with him-
truly inspiring.

It is with deepest sympathy that I offer my condolences to your family. My  connection  with Mark goes back decades both as a friend, classmate, and business colleague. He was a good friend, an exemplary student, a fair and honest business partner. He will be missed and am blessed to have known him.

Mark was a kind man, a great industry leader, and a pleasure to work with over the years.  Our thoughts and prayers to the Doris family during this difficult time.

Mark was a gentleman of the highest character and a mentor to me over many years. I am blessed to have known Mark and send my condolences to his family during this difficult time.

I had the privilege to work for Mark for over 20 years. He was an intelligent, humorous and fair man who always strove to do the right thing without consideration of personal cost. A truly kind human being who has left this world a better place for being in it. My deepest condolences to the Doris family.

Mark was one in a million, and I was so blessed to work for him. One of my favorite memories (I have so many!) is when I was walking through the warehouse with a customer. Mark was back there, and I introduced them to each other. He asked Mark what he does at Mars, and Mark simply said, "I work here". Mark did not have a presumptuous bone in his body. He was extremely humble. Mark's integrity was second to none. He always did the right thing no matter what. He instilled this philosophy with his 2 sons as well. Mark has left quite a legacy and will be missed.

Fran, Michael and Andrew.  Mark was one of best in the business.  I greatly enjoyed working with him for over 35 years.  We golfed together and worked out some great deals together.  I have nothing but the upmost respect for Mark.  You all have my deepest sympathy and condolences.

I was fortunate to work for Mark in the 80's and 90's. He was a great boss and a wonderful human being.

Because I am a lighting designer, I had occasions to interact with Mark. Although I knew of his well-deserved reputation for intelligence, decency, and fair business practices, I did not him well.  Some years ago I was working on a church project and required a few lamps to complete the job. I had called Mars Electric, as usual, for the best option for stock and service. Upon learning that Mars had what I needed, I instructed the contractor to place an order,  expecting that within a couple of days I would have what I needed. After spending a few afternoon hours on site, I was on my way out the door. Mark was on the way in, carrying a box . I was both pleased and surprised that the Boss was making a personal delivery.
"Mark," I said. "You didn't have to do this!" 
He smiled that quiet smile of his. " You needed it",  he said with a shrug, "and I was on my way home."

That was Mark.

Mark carried himself in a way that inspired so many in so many positive ways and will continue to for so long.  Calm, collected, and yes, (VERY) cool. I’m certain he’s impacted anyone seeing this in numerous ways regardless of how long or closely you knew him, whether directly or indirectly through his life’s missions and family.  Smartest person I’ve ever had the fortune of knowing,  many words of wisdom (work, life, family, priorities, and yes, sports)-most with warm smiles, others with equally-warm smirks, the planet’s average IQ just dropped a bit, but his memories left in us perhaps has increased mankind’s overall kindness?  Like to think so!   Our sincerest condolences, with thoughts and prayers, to the Doris Family. The Kisley Family.

So sorry.  Mark was  a nice and generous person.  We had many golf rounds together in Cleveland and Florida

My deepest condolences to the Doris family and Mars employees. Anytime I saw Mark, he was friendly and easy to talk to. I greatly enjoy working with Mars; even though I am a very small customer, everyone always makes me feel special. He built an amazing company with a legacy you all can be extremely proud of.
