Mark Paul Schumann of Chagrin Falls, Ohio, passed away peacefully on October 20, 2025, at the age of 93. Born in Shaker Heights, Ohio, he was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.
He is survived by his wife, Christina Schumann, his children; Anthony ( Carla) Schumann, David (Judy) Schumann, Stephanie Schumann and Nicollette Schumann ; his grandchildren, Nicole (Drew) Riffle, Maxx (Viviana), Schumann, Madison (Zack) Beenau, Jonah Schumann, Mark Mazzieri, Benjamin Schumann “Brooke” and Evan ( Marisa) Schumann; and his great-grandchildren, Oliver Riffle, Remy Riffle, Opal Beenau, Maisel Beenau, Owen Schumann, and Leo Schumann. He was preceded in death by his sister Merle (Victor) Vertes, and his parents, Samual Edward and Eleanor Schumann.
Mark was a pioneering businessman and entrepreneur, serving as the third-generation leader of I. Schumann & Co., and later repurchasing it to return it to private family ownership. He co-founded Wright Airlines, Conversion Resources, Inc., Warrenton Copper Ingot production in Missouri as well as partnered to purchase Mercury Aviation, a small fixed-base operation at Cuyahoga County Airport.
A lifelong tinkerer, pilot, navigator and collector, Mark had a passion for all things mechanical, cars, planes, and boats. He was also dedicated to philanthropy, particularly supporting growth, and innovation at University Hospitals in Cleveland.

Interment: Immediately following the service at Mayfield Road Cemetery Mausoleum, 2749 Mayfield Road, Cleveland Heights, Ohio 44118.
