

He was a long-time market researcher for American Greetings and due to his unusual name, even had a card character named after him in a series of greeting cards.
Maynard was an avid Cleveland sports fan, ping-pong player, OSU fan, and golfer (even getting a hole-in-one years ago).
He had a great sense of humor and was very nurturing and a caring person to all and was a yard work maven, always working to perfect his lawn.
He was adored by his wife, Kathy, and cherished time with his daughters and family, Ashley (Ted) Riolo, and Lindsay (Craig) Djukic and will be dearly missed by his grandchildren, Lia, Eden, and Ben. He is survived by his sisters-in-law Susan (Russ) Coddington, Lisa (Tony Moreira) Kiertscher, and brother Nigel (Geri) Newman.
Services will be held at 11am, March 4th, at the Berkowitz-Kumin-Bookatz Memorial Chapel at 1985 S. Taylor Road in Cleveland Heights, 44118 with Interment at Bet Olam Cemetery in Beachwood.

Shivah will follow interment at the Newman residence, 6471 Woodhawk Drive, in Mayfield Heights until 4:00pm and 6:00pm-8:00pm and on Wednesday, March 5th from 1:00pm-4:00pm and 6:00pm-8:00pm.
