A very special person who was a joy to be with.  Many fond memories of his visiting us in Texas and "hunting" coyote.  A warm soul.

Dick introduced me to hunting in Virginia at the Hunt Box and we rode together for many years in the Valley and in the Hunt. He never missed a coop.  He was a dear friend and taught me how to stay in the saddle (most of the time).  He had great theater and wit. Lisa and I are shocked and saddened to hear of his passing. Our prayers are with Dick and the family.  See you over the next fence, Dick.

My prayers to Beth and your family.  I did not know Dick well, but he was a fantastic horseman and a talented artist.  He taught me a trick on getting a horse to self load and to this day - it continues to work.  My condolences.

My husband and I met Dick and Beth at a Cleveland Orchestra Benefit in 1981 I think. The meeting transformed my life. Dick rekindled my involvement with horses that had lapsed during my 9 year course of graduate work. He introduced me to hunting and trails and riding and set me on a course of great joy. I shall always be grateful to Dick and Beth and will always recall Dick with a smile.

You were definitely one of a kind, and always made me laugh - You had a kind and generous spirit, and you will be deeply missed - God speed!

Dick Desberg and I shared many laughs together at Old River Farm on and off trail.  Dick took me on insanely spirited trail rides and I tried to hold my own.  He was a true gentleman and lover of life.  He was a father figure, friend and fellow equestrian.

dear Beth and family---i write this from a relationship perhaps old and forgotten, but dick was a wonderful person..  we were second cousins or maybe third-and went to university school and then shaker high together,,when i was editor of the gristmill for the class of 1959 at shaker ,he was the art director.   and designed a 21st century cover--.. i enjoyed my time together with him immensely...
as life went on, our paths went in different directions . nevertheless, i always remember his sparkle and brilliance as well as Beth,s warmth and compassion-----so it is always sad to reconnect when it is too late--but dick was a great talent and terrific person --in the time's i knew him well.. sad and sorry to learn that he is gone.

Dick was always bigger then life.  He was my high school and college friend and most recently our friendship was rekindled through my very minimal involvement with his very exciting endeavor, "A Broadway Musical". My heart goes out to the family of Dick Desberg for the loss of this wonderful man.   I can't do a better job describing this sadness than the MANY outpourings of love from his large community of people.  His presence would fill a room.   RIP dear friend.

What I loved about Dick was his love of life!! No matter what he was involved in, he brought his whole spirit to bear. Lots of laughs and memories. I was so glad my daughter got to know him through the purchase of his horse trailer. Even as briefly as she knew him, he made a great impact on her. Tally ho, Dick!!

My heart goes out to the family and friends of Mr. Desberg. I had the opportunity to meet him on my very first experience with the Chagrin Valley Hunt. He welcomed me with a smile. After the hunt he was genuinely happy that I had an enjoyable experience out. May all those who knew him, find peace in through this difficult time.
