Yes, the talks in his office after a visit. I was Dr. Schaeffer's patient as a child, so naturally my kids went to Dr. Moore. When we moved to Strongsville, we drove back to Dr. Moore. A very fond memory I have is when my son knew all the dinosaur names and descriptions and told Dr. Moore that he wanted to be a paleontologist. Dr. Moore cracked up and I started to explain. He said to me, "wait a minute, I gotta hear this" and called my son around to the side of his desk and said "WHAT do you want to do? WHAT are all these dinosaurs?" And my son proudly recited them all by meant-eater vs. plant-eater, and physical features. It's been a treasured family memory all these years. What a tribute to your family to have all these folks remember Dr. Moore with such love! God bless you all.

I was very sad to hear of the passing of Dr. Moore.  He was a great Doctor to all my children and foster children.

Our family feels shock and sadness to learn of Dr. Moore's passing.  It feels as if it is the end of an era. I remember the beautiful painting of the three children in his office, how he always took time to speak to the children and parents at the conclusion of each appointment, and mostly his kindness.  May your family take comfort in the memory of a truly decent Doctor and man.

I'm very saddened to hear the news of Dr. Moore's passing. He was beloved by my family and took great care of my sisters and I until we were in college. I actually looked forward to going to my doctor appointments because he was always funny and gave great advice on life and greatly encouraged our academic and athletic endeavors. He was amazing and one-of-a-kind. I have no doubt he not only helped his young patients with their health, but also had a part in molding them into the adults they are now. My deepest condolences to Mrs. Moore and the entire Moore family. He will be greatly missed.

Dear Debbie, Richard and the Moore/Harris family: I was shocked and saddened to read of the untimely passing of your Dad. I always enjoyed his stories of his youth, his love of family, your Mom, his patients and their families. It made my work more enjoyable knowing him. I am sorry for your loss and may his memory be for a blessing. I will remember him always.

Dr.Moore was awesome. He was my pediatrician when I was a child.  Looking back, I can truly appreciate the compassion and care he had for his patients.  You don't find doctors nowadays that take the time to invite their patients and their families into his office to discuss each and every detail post exam. 

I can also fondly recall his sense of humor, particularly when doing a throat culture to test for strep when he would tell you that he would only choke you a little bit before taking a swab with the 'long q-tip.'

May his family find peace in knowing how many lives he impacted and how much he is and was admired.

I will always have fond memories of Dr. Moore. From the wood toys in his waiting room, to his caring personality, the smiley face stickers you always got at the end of the visit, that small little rocking chair in his office, to that little doctor statue/knick-knack in his office...he will never be forgotten. He is a big reason why I'm still here today. I had always wished he was still practicing when I had my children. I would have driven long distances for him to care for my kids. I am very happy to hear that he did have a wonderful, fulfilling life after his retirement from his practice. He deserved nothing but the best.

Rest in Peace Dr. Moore! You took such great care of my sisters and I then my own children. Our Lord has a place for you in Heaven I am sure. So very sorry for the family. God speed and God bless.

We are so sorry to hear of the sudden passing of Dick Moore. He was clearly a beloved figure in his community and an outstanding pediatrian and coach. We just knew him as an intelligent, kind and caring person always with an amusing anecdote.

Richard was a regular at our barbershop and I feel lucky to have gotten to know him.  He would always sit down in my chair with a smile and say â€œcut it short...really shortâ€ then immediately start to tell stories about  coaching â€œ the girlsâ€,  his family and life's idiosyncrasies.  I loved his dry sense of humor and appreciated his honesty when I asked for his opinion. Every visit, I would ask about his wife, Mary, and Richard would share some of his stories of their recent time together. These were my favorite. The stories always ended with â€œshe is such a happy person and she makes me happy" What I most admired about Richard was his positive attitude, no matter what life threw at him...he was one of my favorite customers and will be truly missed.

The Alan Gilder Family extend our heartfelt sympathy to the family of Dr. Moore.  Not only was he a remarkable pediatrician, he was a very kind and caring person.  He cared for our two daughters from birth into their college years.  He was well respected.  His words of wisdom still come to mind.  May your faith in God bring you comfort and peace during this difficult time.

From 1964 till our last child turned 18, Dr. Moore was our doctor.  He saw us through a devastating illness with one of our children, we will never forget him for his patience and understanding.  Our thoughts & prayers are with your family.

Dr Moore was my pediatrician and he was dearly loved in our household. I now have a 1 year old son of my own and when I ask my mom for advice she always refers back to what Dr. Moore told her. He was more than a doctor, he was a friend and a father figure. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.

Dr. Moore was the most incredible pediatrician. Our family and two boys were blessed to have him. He gave the best advise and was never in a hurry. Always caring. We send prayers that God will comfort his family and loved ones. He is remembered fondly and missed by so many.

First, I knew Dr. Moore at nursing school. Then, he became our childrens doctor.  How manyt imes I wish I would have told him what a great difference he made in our children's lives.  As a mom, he believed in me and gave me the confidence to be a good parent.  As a doctor to our kids, he offered teasing and thought provoking questions that my kids loved him for.  Today, though no longer a nurse, I work in sports and how many times I have used his simple phrases he taught me as a mom in my trainings that I do.  I feel so very bad for your loss, but I am confident he will touch so many lives once again in his ever after role.  Please know how much your dad/husband/uncle will be missed and how loved he was.

I was a patient of Dr. Moore's until college. He was a fantastic doctor who clearly cared about his patients. What an amazing man. I wish his family peace and comfort at this difficult time.

Dr Moore was one of the greatest men I have ever met! He was not only my doctor but also my childrens. He always had a great bedside manner and usually a word of advise! From his walks in the neighborhood to the visits in the office he was superb!

Coach Moore was such a wonderful role model and friend. His enthusiasm and sense of humor made so many lacrosse practices and games more memorable than he could have ever known. He will truly be missed by the Hawken community and alumni. All of my thoughts and prayers to his family.

Dr. Moore was such a big part of my life.  He was the my children's doctor for about 20 years.  He had the best advice and still on many occasions his ideas and words pop into my head.  He cared about his patients.

So sorry to hear of Dr. Moore's passing. He was such a loving kind doctor that took time to listen to frantic new mother's "emergencies". I loved him as a patient and was so thankful that he was still practicing when I had my daughter. God has truly gained a great angel in you!
