

RONALD M. LIPSON, age 76, died January 22, 2011. Beloved husband of Shelley (née Greenberg); devoted father of Marcy Davidovics (Yankel) of NY, Debbie Lipson of Toledo, OH and Amy Lipson (Andy Altman); dear brother of Paul (Gloria) of CA and much loved brother-in-law of Mike and Mila Greenberg of NY, Judy and Stan Cohen of WV, Harriet and Steve Swartz of MN, Betty and Stan Myers of MD; loving grandfather of Nathan Shore, Madeline, Lilly and Sadie Kaplan, Isaac and Moriah Altman; cherished by friends, colleagues, nieces, nephews and cousins. Services will be held at BERKOWITZ-KUMIN-BOOKATZ MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 1985 S. TAYLOR RD., CLEVELAND HTS., Monday, January 24 at 11 am. Interment Mt. Olive Cemetery. Family will receive friends FOLLOWING SERVICES UNTIL 9 PM at the Altman-Lipson residence, 26055 Hurlingham Rd., Beachwood. The family will then receive friends TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY FROM 1 TO 4 AND 6:30 TO 9 PM at the Lipson residence, 11 Stratford Ct., Beachwood. Valet Parking all three days. In lieu of flowers donations are suggested to the Jennie and Milton Lipson Fund at Menorah Park or to the Lipson Caring Fund at Temple Emanu El.
Beloved father, grandfather, uncle, brother, friend, Ronald M. Lipson, age 76, passed away on January 22, 2011.
He was born in Cleveland, Ohio to Milton and Jennie Lipson. Ronald graduated from Glenville High School and Western Reserve undergrad and law school. He put himself through college and law school in part by entering writing contests and practiced law for over fifty years in downtown Cleveland.
He was also a founding partner of Leasing Dynamics Inc.; one of the first companies in the United States that leased used computers.
He was a student of Glenville neighborhood history and had many passions including American history, family genealogy, democratic politics, presidential trivia, election nights, CNN, MSNBC, the New York Times, interior design, plaid shirts, movies, current events, bookstores, and traveling. He never missed a party, reunion or family gathering. Ronald loved good conversations, political debates and going to restaurants.
He was a former vice president and Emanu Elite of the Year at Temple Emanu El. He was grateful for the amazing secretaries and law partner that worked with him and enabled him continue to work in the last years.
Ronald is survived by his beloved wife of 49 years, Shelley, daughters, Marcy (Yankel) Davidovics, of N.Y., Debbie Lipson, of Toledo, Ohio, and Amy Lipson (Andy Altman), brother Paul (Gloria) of LaVerne, CA, cherished grandchildren, Nathan Shore, Madeline, Lilly and Sadie Kaplan, and Isaac and Moriah Altman. He also leaves many friends, in-laws and cousins.
He will be dearly missed by all.
