

Alfredo Diaz Montanez, age 76, passed away February 24th, 2016; beloved husband of Martha (nee Mendez) for 39 years; devoted father of Lillian (Aqeel), Luis Alfredo, Wilfredo (Cinnette), Otoniel (Amber); dear grandfather of Isaac, Immanuel, Mia, Joel, Milany, Isabella, Lincoln; loving son of the late Inocencio and Paula; cherished brother of Arturo, Francisco (deceased), Emmanuel (deceased), Carmen Rosa (deceased), Ana Delia (deceased), Ismael, Luis, Jesus, Efrain, Hector, and Heidi (deceased); loving uncle, cousin, and friend of many; Missionary Alfredo Diaz has dedicated his life to the ministry of giving back. Since his calling in the early 1960s he began a long journey of missions work that expanded through many countries, including Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, San Salvador, Costa Rica, St. Thomas and St. Croix to name a few. Rev. Alfredo lived six years in Mexico, where he married and started a family. Alfredo was passionate about spreading the gospel by not only speaking the word of God, but feeding and clothing the poor in the neediest parts of the world. He lived by the belief that we had to embrace everyone and love them like Jesus Christ loved us. Alfredo’s commitment and passion for giving through his dedication to the Lord was none more exemplified than through his care for his oldest granddaughter Mia Nalani. Mia was born as a special needs child and Alfredo’s gentle care for her has provided Mia with 9 beautiful years of life on this earth. He has given us all hope that God will always provide.
