I am still not able to believe that your life was taken. I don't feel it was your time. I am trying to be strong for our daughter, Novalis. It is not easy, as everyday I continue to feel angry, weak, heartbroken, still in shock, in disbelief, and sad. Through our daughter, your only child, you will remain alive through her. You will remain alive through all of our memories, pictures, and videos. Justice will be served. I loved you since I met you almost 10 years ago, and will never stop loving you. I thank you for giving me our daughter, because of her I will continue to force myself to stay strong. I will forever protect her, care for her, and love her. I am heartbroken in a way I've never been before. I know you would want me to keep my head up and be the best mother I can be. I only met him twice, years ago at a family christmas eve party when we all met him for the most part and a few years ago at our annual peach party for our aunts birthday. He just had such a warm energy  about him. We really enjoyed him that day on the beach. I didn't realize how that was the only time I had seen him sense. I wish I had more memories with him but I cherish the memories I do have with him and I pray that we meet again someday.

I am truly sorry for your loss. I would like to offer you and your family my deepest and most sincere condolences. 

DJ. I miss how you say “Auntie Peanut”,  your laugh, how your always making jokes.  I miss the love and respect you’ve always shown me.  I’m gonna miss how you call me out of no where just to see how I’m doing.  

Our last conversation was a couple days before you were taken from us.   You called to see if I was working on the ambulance that day because  when you got on the freeway there were two ambulances behind you and they were driving funny and you thought it was me looking at you.  We laughed, you asked me how I was doing, I said fine. I asked about you and you said “I’m good”.  You said “Auntie Peanut I gotta go, I’ll call you later”.  I said “ I love you boy, and your last words to me were “ I love you too Auntie Peanut”. 

DJ, you are and will always be in Auntie heart.  I will love and miss you always.  Auntie wants you to rest easy we will all stick together and take care of your precious Princess Novalis.

I’ll never forget the times we all had as kids running around Aunt Joy’s house. The laughs, the smiles and the long nights we had growing up together and picking on Nene. Love you forever DJ. Rest up.

I will never forget all the times we had together growing up and always begging my mom to let me tag along with you.. but I am so happy the day we randomly saw each other at a bar and just sat there and talked and I was able to let you know that I always looked up to you and that I loved you no matter what and we looked like a couple of goofs crying at a packed out bar😂😅 I love you and miss you man rest easy cuzzo💜💜💜
