Mis condolencias a la familia y amistades, Piro es parte de mi Familia,  tantos an̈os en conocerlo un gran ser humano, esposo, tio, padre, cun̈ado y amigo durante mas de 40 an̈os cuando conoci a la familia y siempre fue la misma persona al igual Milagros. Hoy fui a misa y le dediqué el eterno descanso, a mi querido tío Piro. Fortaleza para toda la familia. RIP TÍO PIRO 🙏🏻😢

My uncle was a man with a personality bigger than life. An athletic Pro Basketball Player for San Juan, Puerto Rico. Throughout my childhood, he was the center of every family gathering with his musicality, singing, happy, and truly handsome inside and out.

As a teenager, I worked alongside him making deliveries all over the island, including through the mountains where some roads were barely wide enough for a small car—yet Tio Piroco drove a cargo truck like an F1 Racer. So many scary moments but, my uncle never lacked confidence.

During Christmas in Puerto Rico, I remember the Parranda’s (Caroling - PR style), spending entire night driving (convoy) to an unsuspecting house playing lively traditional songs, singing, guitars, trumpets, drums, and more until the sleepy homeowners opened the door, feed everyone, and we shared drinks, laughter, and warmth,. Then taking them with us to the next house and next house and next until sunrise. My uncle led those joyful christmas raids, and the songs he sang - while not all exactly appropriate for today’s climate - were playful and so much fun! That was him: full of life, laughter, music, and he left me unforgettable memories. My mother Maria, especially adored her little brother.

Familia y amigos, lo siento mucho por su pérdida. Siempre lo llevaré en mi corazón.
