Dearest Janet, Kathy and family,  I am so very sorry for your loss.  I did not know or I would have gone to the wake to pay my respects.  I remember your Mom so well, her toes were always painted red in the summer.  She was so kind to me as a child, and very loving.  She wore a scarf on her head like a hair band. 

My Mother died on December 19, 2009,  I know how hard this time of year is to have your beloved Mother go to heaven.  Our parents are now neighbors again after forty years, just like on Corning Avenue!

You've worked hard all your life Mom, just to provide for us - you were always thinking of us, putting your own needs aside, and for that we thank you.  You've loved each one of us unconditionally, and for that we thank you.  We already feel lost without you, but are consoled knowing you are no longer suffering.  We know you didn't want to leave us, but God had a better plan for you - it was time for the suffering to end, it was time to come home.  Jesus welcomed you with His loving outstretched arms, your journey on this earth complete. You are home now Mama, so rest in peace, knowing you will always be so very loved and very missed. Our hearts are heavy, but we have so very many cherished memories, and for that we thank you, Mama. And  while everyone claims to have the best mother in the world, I think we have them beat - and for that, we thank you, Mama.  We love you so very, very much Mom.
